NMCN General/Post Basic Nursing Professional Exam Results for Nov 2023

NMCN General Post Basic Nursing Result November 2023 is Out. We are pleased to inform you that the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria through the Honourable Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare has approved the release of result of the professional examination in General/Post Basic Nursing for November 2023. Detailed summary of the results has been provided as you continue reading.

Summarizing the results, it was presented that twelve thousand, four hundred and seventy-seven (12, 477) candidates were successful representing 87% with the breakdown as provided below.

  1. General Nursing Programme: Nine thousand and six (9,006) candidates were successful in the general nursing examination translating to a 90% pass.
  2. Post Basic Nursing Programmes: One thousand nine hundred and twenty-one (1,921) candidates were successful in the post basic nursing examination translating to a 86% pass.
  3. Refresher Programme: Forty-eighty (48) candidates were successful in the refresher examination translating to a 68% pass.
  4. Foreign Trained Nurses: Two hundred and ninety (290) candidates were successful in the examination translating to a 65% pass.
  5. Public Health Nursing Programme: Six hundred and thirty-seven (637) candidates were successful in the public health nursing examination translating to a (89%) pass.
  6. Community Nursing Programme: Five hundred and fifteen (515) candidates were successful in the community nursing examination translating to a 64% pass.

Heads of training institutions should please check their institution(s)’ results online beginning Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Successful candidates are advised to the visit Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria Portal (portal.nmen.gov.ng) to apply online for Registration and Licensing beginning Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Please keep in mind that online registration procedures, including payment of the registration fee, must be completed within ninety (90) days. Also, after ninety (90) days, late registration incurs a penalty cost of sixteen thousand, two hundred and fifty naira (N16,250.00) per application. In addition, a penalty price of six thousand, five hundred and sixty-two naira (N6,562.00) would be imposed per year if the first license is not obtained.

Please keep in mind that the next Professional Examination for General/Post Basic Nursing will be held from Tuesday, May 7th to Friday, May 10th, 2024.

Heads of nursing training institutions are now invited to report statistics for the May 2024 Professional Examination using the Examination Application Checklist (EAC) to [email protected] by the 30th of January, 2024. EAC received after this date will be rejected altogether.

Please acknowledge receipt of the result and contact the Registrar/CEO as soon as possible to correct any errors. After 30 days of the release of the results, the Council will not accept any objection.
